1 Month & 6 Days until we LAUNCH......

I am rarely at a loss for words but every time I think about writing a post for this blog, I draw a blank.... As excited as I am for our launch day to be close(r), I find myself over thinking about what I want to share with everyone and if it will be relevant to them... or me in the long run for that matter......

1 month & 6 days until we launch... that is what my tracker app says... it also says, 21 hours, 37 mins, 27, 26, 25, 24..... seconds... and counting....

I am a week away from quitting my job of over 8 years.... My long dedication to this job has been such that I am having severe quitters guilt.... I have wanted to tell them before now but feared they would not accept my months notice so I have been patiently waiting for the 2 week mark... If everything goes as planned, I will turn in my notice on December 2 with December 16th being my last day of work...... I will be offering my services on a part-time basis should they wish to accept it. I would love to stay on as their database person at least until someone else can get trained to take it over... but if they choose not to accept it, it is totally ok with me.

Evan is ready to load up and head out NOW..... however, we did agree to stay around for the holidays..... We have had several family members having one hell of a time health wise so we really want to take the last half of December and spend with them as well as the rest of the family....

Our plans to head west have altered a bit... we will head south on December 31st towards Silverhill, AL and will be staying at Wales West RV Resort & Light Railway for 2 weeks of rest and relaxation on the Gulf Coast.  I am so excited about this that I just can't stand it....

Then we head to Jellystone GA for several months so I can workamp....  Workamping, if you are not familiar, is where one works for a campground in exchange for the camp site.... several reasons we decided to go this route....  1. By workamping, I gain some experience that will help us if we ever have to workamp to make ends meet while on the road. And I think having experience at a Yogi Bear Park will be a great asset...... 2. There is a baby due in our family around June 2014 and by staying close we will be able to be around when its born. 3. Who would not want to camp at a Yogi Bear Park? 4. This will allow us to save more money for our adventures......

Jellystone GA is not far from Atlanta so we will be close to my parents (both sets), Six Flags, GA Aquarium, Coke Factory, Stone Mountain, etc..... Places we would love to visit.... And only 3.5 hours from home so we can visit....

So we are excited..... And nervous..... But ready....
